Been away for a few days, finally finished the decking, next is the bulwarks, currently being painted.
Almost there! Just the mast and the launches to finish, fit electrics and launch shouldn’t be far off!

Well done, I am also consider to buy this kit to have a steam plant installed. Would you advise the dimension （L x W）of the two big hole on the deck. I am afraid the the 180mm beam is unable to fit my existing boiler inside.
ReplyDeleteOn second thoughts, best not to increase size as this will cause problems when fitting the wheelhouse!
DeleteSure, I will not modify the deck, to do this not only create other problems thereafter. This will alter the details and appearance of Ulises. If this is the case, I will make another boiler that will fit the deck. I recently find a Japanese model lover, Mr. Taketomi, who had fit a set of Saito steam system to run his Ulises (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gn0CX4KDzAQ). I am sure there will be no problem to run this model with my steam engine, but my boiler might be larger than the Saito's. That's why I want to check the hole dimension of the deck from you.
